Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Duplicate Highlighter for Google Sheets website, Google Sheets add-on, Codeprint account features, usage service, and billing service.

Effective and last updated: August 3, 2026

Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using Duplicate Highlighter, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and comply with applicable law and Google's terms.

The service

Duplicate Highlighter helps identify duplicate values or rows in one selected Google Sheets range and applies native conditional-formatting rules. Matching options include per-column or whole-range values, selected row keys, blanks, surrounding whitespace, letter case, and whether every occurrence or only later occurrences should be highlighted.

The service does not remove, merge, reorder, or rewrite duplicate data. Clear and Undo are conservative and act only when add-on ownership and supported operation state can be verified. You remain responsible for reviewing results and maintaining backups appropriate for your work.

Accounts and access

The add-on connects the Google identity that authorized it to a Codeprint account. You are responsible for your Google account security, all activity performed through your account, and accurate billing information. Do not share or automate access in a way that evades per-user limits or impersonates another person.

Lifetime free allowance

Each Google user receives 3 lifetime successful applies for Duplicate Highlighter, shared across spreadsheets and installations for that user and product. The third successful apply is allowed; the next apply requires Pro.

A successful sidebar Apply or successful Quick Apply counts. Opening, selection refresh, preview, settings changes, Clear, Undo, checkout, reconnection, validation failure, system failure, canceled operation, or idempotent retry does not consume the allowance. Undo occurs after a successful apply and does not refund that use. The allowance does not reset, has no cash value, and cannot be transferred.

Pro subscription, renewal, and payment

Duplicate Highlighter Pro costs $29.99 USD per year and provides unlimited successful applies for the subscribed Google user, subject to Google Sheets and Apps Script technical limits. The subscription renews automatically each year at the price shown at checkout until canceled. Taxes may be added where required.

Stripe processes checkout, payment methods, invoices, and the customer billing portal. Pro access begins only after Codeprint receives and validates Stripe's signed subscription event; a checkout redirect or screenshot is not proof of access. Failed, reversed, unpaid, paused, or otherwise terminal payments may restrict Pro.

Cancellation and existing rules

You may manage or cancel the subscription through the Stripe billing portal opened from the add-on's Account section, or by emailing jacob@codeprint.io from the subscribed account. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while Pro continues through the paid period.

Conditional-formatting rules already applied are part of the spreadsheet and ordinarily continue working after cancellation or uninstall. Deleting the add-on or revoking Google authorization does not itself cancel Stripe billing.

Refunds

Refund requests are considered individually on a case-by-case basis, and approval is not guaranteed. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived. Email jacob@codeprint.io with the subscribed Google account email, charge date, and reason. Do not send payment-card details by email.

Acceptable use

You may use Duplicate Highlighter only with spreadsheets you are authorized to access. You may not:

  • evade the lifetime allowance, account, subscription, or authorization controls;
  • access another person's account or spreadsheet without permission;
  • probe, interfere with, reverse engineer where prohibited, or overload the service;
  • resell the service or share one user's subscription as a team account;
  • use the service to violate law, Google's terms, or third-party rights; or
  • submit secrets or sensitive information to support when not necessary.

Your data and product ownership

You retain ownership of spreadsheet data. You authorize the add-on to process the open selection and conditional-formatting rules within Google only as needed to perform actions you request. Google services remain governed by Google's terms.

Codeprint owns Duplicate Highlighter's software, branding, site content, and service design. These Terms grant a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer product ownership.

Availability and changes

Google Sheets, Apps Script quotas, selection shape, protected ranges, formulas, conditional-formatting limits, account state, browser behavior, or service outages may affect results. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update reasonable technical limits, features, pricing, or availability. Material commercial changes will be communicated when practical and legally required.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duplicate Highlighter is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. It is not a substitute for data validation, backups, security review, or professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeprint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption. Codeprint's aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Duplicate Highlighter during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension, termination, and changes to these Terms

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, nonpayment, legal requirements, or activity that harms the service or others. Provisions that should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
